Our nonprofit capacity building services include consulting to support evidence-informed programming; nonprofit board development, including board assessment, member recruiting and training; fund development consulting, and upstream investment consulting. We excel in building capacity to support upstream investment  and evidence-informed programming. We can help nonprofits and government agencies develop logic models, identify program related literature reviews, develop evaluation plans, and developing program manuals. Our capacity building services may include:

Aligned Ceres Community Project programs with Sonoma County Upstream Investments

Client: Ceres Community Project, Sebastopol, California

 

Services: Developed a Resolution of Alignment document; prepared an application for Ceres Community Project's Healthy Meals Program and Teen Mentoring Programs  to be a part of Sonoma County’s Portfolio of Model Upstream Programs as a Tier 3 Emerging Practices Program; final result was a Tier 3 program.

Board assessment and recommendations for best practices in board governance

Client: Disability Management Employer Coalition, San Diego, California

 

Services: Developed online board assessment, facilitated board retreat to discuss assessment results, revised bylaws, and created governance documents.

Aligned Forget Me Not Children’s Services' work-readiness program with Sonoma County Upstream Investments

Client: Forget Me Not Children's Services, Santa Rosa, California

 

Services: Developed a Resolution of Alignment document; prepared an application for Forget Me Not Children's Services' Foster Youth Mentoring Program to be a part of Sonoma County’s Portfolio of Model Upstream Programs as a Tier 3 Emerging Practices Program; final result was a Tier 3 program.

Developed, managed, and recruited board of directors for nonprofit that oversees Fort Ross State Park

Client: Fort Ross Conservancy, Jenner, California

Services: Identified competencies and characteristics needed to achieve key priorities and future growth; identified sources for funding qualified board candidates that matched FRC's priority needs; developed recruiting materials and protocol for how materials will be used; and recruited high quality, prospective board members.
