About Bischoff Consulting

Bischoff Consulting partners with nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to help strengthen programs, secure funding, engage stakeholders, and move complex initiatives forward.

Founded by Dr. B.J. Bischoff, the firm builds on more than three decades of consulting experience originally established through Bischoff Performance Improvement Consulting in 1990. Today, Bischoff Consulting continues that work by helping organizations navigate change, build capacity, align stakeholders, and implement initiatives that create lasting impact.

Bischoff Consulting is a California Certified Small Business and is registered with the State of California as a Fundraising Counsel.

Our work includes strategic planning, grant development, facilitation, community engagement, organizational development, program evaluation, and implementation support. We believe the most effective solutions are built collaboratively, grounded in practical experience, and tailored to the unique needs of each organization and community we serve.

Pat the Cat
Feline Protection Services • Quality Assurance Specialist

Pat joined the team unexpectedly when he appeared one day and decided to stay. Since then, he has taken responsibility for a variety of important operational functions, including office security, visitor screening, couch occupancy management, and routine quality assurance inspections of all available sunny spots.

When not conducting perimeter patrols or supervising meetings from a comfortable distance, Pat can usually be found napping, monitoring staff productivity, or reminding everyone to take occasional breaks. While his contributions may not appear on project plans or grant applications, his presence has become an essential part of the office culture.

Pat's specialties include strategic lounging, morale support, and maintaining exceptionally high standards for workplace comfort.

The Ginkgo

The ginkgo tree is one of the oldest living tree species on Earth, with a history stretching back more than 200 million years. Often described as a symbol of resilience, longevity, and adaptability, the ginkgo has survived dramatic environmental change while continuing to thrive.

For us, the ginkgo reflects the qualities we value in organizations and communities: strength, persistence, thoughtful growth, and the ability to adapt while remaining rooted in purpose. Those qualities are why the ginkgo leaf is incorporated into the Bischoff Consulting brand mark and serves as a visual reminder of the long-term perspective we bring to our work.

Meaningful change rarely happens all at once. Like the ginkgo, successful organizations grow through steady progress, resilience, and a long-term commitment to their mission. Those values continue to guide our work with every client and every project.
